Hey Canyons Family!
It was such a blessing to worship with you all yesterday! I keep mentioning the new church app, and as promised, I'd like to show you how you can create an account (see below). Having an account will allow you to manage your giving and also take a step toward using the messaging system built into the app. The messaging system is going to be a fantastic way for our community to have interactive communication, so stay tuned! If you have any questions about creating an account, please let me know (justin@canyonschurch.com).
Looking for a place of service? We are blessed to partner with other Salt Lake Baptist Association churches in the ministry of the Concern Center, to help in sharing food with those in need and grasping that opportunity to help them know Christ and His love for them. The Director of the Concern Center is our very own Sonia Gutierrez and she is assisted by her husband, Pastor Rafael Gutierrez. The Concern Center currently has two key needs: (1) Someone is needed to help pick up food donations from three Chick-fil-A stores that run from Lehi to Sandy on Mondays and Thursdays. It is about a two-hour round trip to pickup donations and deliver them to the Concern Center, and then (2) Volunteers are needed at the Concern Center for Monday and Saturday mornings. If you would be able to help in any way or if you should have questions, please reach out to the Gutierrez's at rafael@canyonschurch.com.
Finally, to answer a common question being asked, we will be having Sunday School on 12/26 and 1/2 for Adults, Students, and Children. In some cases, classes may be combined; however, Sunday School will continue on schedule using the Gospel Project.
Blessings, Pastor Justin

Missions Monday
From the Heart of the Rockies to the Ends of the Earth…
For years, IMB missionaries and national partners in West Africa have been using orality strategies to share the Gospel and make disciples in the region. An important part of the methodology is crafting and sharing biblical stories with people who prefer oral communication methods. IMB worker Katee Sheppard* has seen firsthand the impact that Bible stories in Africans’ heart languages can have, saying “They ask questions and God opens doors that lead many to Christ.” Now African orality trainers are traveling the continent and leading orality workshops that are equipping believers from the region in how to share the Gospel verbally. THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM (CP) is the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Your support of both CP and THE LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING allows the Gospel to be spread across the world in many different forms so that all peoples have the opportunity to hear about Jesus. PRAY for the continued work of IMB workers using orality strategies to share the Gospel, as well as local believers being trained to put into practice the orality skills they have acquired as they return to their towns and villages. *Name changed for security
